Q1. Is the A-Series battery compatible with the new iPhones?

A1. Yes, it is. All the A-Series battery of Zendure are compatible with the new iPhone11 Pro Max and the iPhone 11.

Q2. How long does it take to charge an A-Series External Battery?

A2. Using a suitable power supply that provides 18 Watts (such as your iPad wall charger), the A3PD will charge fully in about 3.5 hours, the A5PD will take 5 hours. And the A6PD will take about 2.5 hours with a 45W wall charger, the A8PD will take about 2.5 hours with a 60W wall charger.

Q3. How to calculate how many times A-Series battery can charge my device?

A3. The total energy that can be stored in a device, in Watt-hours, is calculated by multiplying the charge capacity of the device (in amp-hours) by the voltage at which the charge is stored (in volts). Zendure batteries store energy at about 3.7 volts. So you divide the mAh capacity of the battery by 1,000 to calculate the amp-hours, then multiply by 3.7. The next step is to do a similar calculation on the device you want to charge. Then divide the two capacities to get a rough idea of the number of times Zendure can charge that device.

Next, multiply that number by .8 to account for energy loss during transfer from the battery. Real-world physics takes a substantial share of the energy. However, for most batteries on the market, you might be looking at a 30% energy loss, as opposed to only 20% lost by Zendure.

The resulting figure gives you a good idea of the charging capabilities, but the device you want to charge will have its own energy loss figures as well. In addition, more rapid charging is generally less efficient than slow charging. So there are a lot of variables involved.

Q4. Can the A-Series battery charge my laptop?

A4. The A6PD and A8PD can charge a laptop, however, the A3PD and A5PD does not supply enough voltage to charge a laptop.

Q5. Can I use my computer to charge A-Series battery?

A5. Yes, the A-Series can be charged by any powered USB port. However, many computer USB ports only deliver about 500mA, which is only one third of the maximum charging current for the A-Series. A power supply that provides at least 1.5A, like a high-quality wall charger, will be the quickest way to charge your A-Series Battery.

Q6. How do I use the A-Series battery?

A6. Using the A-Series battery is easy. To charge it, use the included cable to connect the A-Series to a suitable power supply. The LEDs near the power button indicate the current charge level. To use the A-Series to charge your USB-powered device, simply connect them using an appropriate USB charging cable. Most compatible devices will trigger the auto-on function of the A-Series battery, and the LEDs will indicate that charging has begun.

Q7. Can I charge the A-Series battery with a solar charger?

A7. Yes, you can, as long as the solar charger provides a 5V power supply via USB—which most of them do.

Q8.Can the A-Series charge all cameras?

A8. The A-Series will charge most cameras that are designed to charge via USB. However, not all cameras with USB ports can charge by USB. Most DSLR cameras, for example, use removable batteries that are charged with a proprietary charger that operates at a higher voltage than USB connections are intended to deliver. Refer to your camera's documentation to find out if it can charge via USB.

Q9.Can I replace the internal batteries of the A-Series battery?

A9. The A-Series is not designed to be taken apart, nor are its components designed to be removed, modified or replaced.

Q10.Are these A-Series batteries safe for carry-on?

A10. Absolutely. The FAA allows devices with internal lithium-ion batteries, like Zendure has, to be taken on a plane as a carry-on device. There is a limit on the total amount of equivalent lithium content a passenger is allowed to carry, but this limit equates to about 300Wh of energy storage, which is still higher than the combined capacity of all four batteries in our lineup.
